Crown Council’s Young Dentist Program
The Young Dentist Program is the only expert-mentored training and support experience designed to jumpstart thriving careers at a time when many young dentists may feel especially isolated and vulnerable.
What Participants Say:
How the Program Works:
The Young Dentist Program includes three mentored events with Dr. David Hornbrook, Utah Valley Dental Lab, and other prominent dental industry leaders. The first event is held in conjunction with the Crown Council Annual Event.
Each person and supporting entity in this program—including Dr. Hornbrook, Utah Valley Dental Lab, the Crown Council, and My Social Practice—donates their time to this worthy cause of mentoring the next generation of truly remarkable dentists who give back to our profession, and to the world throughout their careers.
The cost to participate is a one-time fee of $2200 or 12 payments of $199. After your Young Dentist Program concludes you are invited to be part of the Crown Council as a full member for $98 per month. You are responsible for your own air travel and hotel when attending the Crown Council Annual Event.
Included in the fee is admission to the Crown Council’s Annual Event. The following day, in a separate virtual event you’ll spend time with Dr. Hornbrook discussing smile design, occlusion, prep design, cementation and materials related to your own patient’s case. You will also work with Dr. Hornbrook and the other young dentists in the program to create a treatment plan for your patient.
One patient will been chosen for a charitable smile makeover case. Through this patient you will have received guidance, direction and invaluable education about materials, treatment planning and case acceptance from some of dentistry’s top mentors.
The second and third weekend sessions will be held during the summer in Salt Lake City, Utah. You will be responsible for your own air travel, hotel and food when you travel to Salt Lake City for the preparation and the seating weekends. The Crown Council will cover the costs of transportation, hotel and food for the patient. The laboratory restoration is a gift from Utah Valley Dental Lab.
Registration also includes a 1-year full membership in the Crown Council—a prestigious alliance of leading-edge dentists around the world who are strongly committed to sharing best practices with each other, and to serving their communities through charitable work.
Applications must be submitted on or before November 31 each year. Candidates will be evaluated and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the available seats are filled.
